LEGO Indiana Jones lacks much to differentiate it from its Star Wars cousins, aside from the obvious changes in story, locations and characters. You’ll guide Indy and pals through all three classic movies (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and Last Crusade), humorously retold without speech and expanded to provide more whip cracking opportunities. Not only will you play as tons of familiar faces, such as Short Round and Mola Ram, but you’ll also play with a friend and solve puzzles. This is great, but expect repetitive block smashing and item collecting that, in this third LEGO game, has overstayed its welcome.

It probably won’t win any awards for best-movie-to-game adaptation, but Kung Fu Panda still ends up better than most. The game dishes out a serviceable amount of kung-fu fighting action, letting you kick lots of animal butt without going overboard on the brutality. The presentation is also given a surprising amount of attention, with impressive lighting effects, swift animation, and solid (although far from perfect) level design. The multiplayer modes aren’t bad, but you have to unlock most of them and they’re strictly off-line.

GRID is a racing game that satisfies our need to burn rubber. There are multiple activities and tracks, sponsors, team-building opportunities and three countries (the United States, Japan and Europe) to choose from. The driving is an excellent blend of high-speed antics and risk, as one crash can quickly end your run. The Flashback feature is a splendid addition, which allows you to reverse time for a few seconds, despite having to use it sparingly. Throw in a few additional modes and a (mostly) smooth presentation, and this Race Driver successor is definitely up to speed.
